                              Jr. Dragster Super Series Race

                              | ROCKINGHAM, N.C. – Concord’s Marissa Bickford was 
                              among three drivers with championship rings on two 
                              different fingers after officials outraced the 
                              weather with a marathon 17 consecutive hours of 
                              Jr. Dragster racing Saturday at Rockingham Dragway. 
 Bickford, a Rockingham Dragway regular, was joined 
                              by Carson “Big Check” Emmett of Cedar Bluff, Ala., 
                              and Jackson Summers of Franklin, Ky., as double-up 
                              winners in the inaugural event in the 2018 
                              ProtecttheHarvest.com Midwest Jr. Dragster Super 
                              Series presented by Lucas Oil.
 
 That threesome along with the other Saturday 
                              champions went home not only with purse money and 
                              Lucas Oil products, but distinctive “Big Daddy” 
                              trophies and championship rings specially crafted 
                              by Hayes Jewelers and presented by Roy Hill’s Drag 
                              Racing School and Rockingham Dragway.
 
 Bickford won both the Pro Sportsman A and 7.90 
                              Index titles in her GUNK Engine Cleaner/jrdragsterparts.com 
                              Special while Summers won the 6-9 age group and 
                              the 13.90 Index race. Emmett won the Pro Sportsman 
                              B and 10-12 age group races and just missed out on 
                              a third title when he was beaten by Blake Combs of 
                              Bluff City, Tenn., in the 8.90 final.
 
 Nathan Prose of Terre Haute, Ind., walked away 
                              with all the hardware in the featured Quick 16 
                              class, Alexis Tanner of Rensselaer, Ind., won in 
                              Outlaw 330 and Landon Palmer of Scottsville, Va., 
                              was the Sportsman winner. Blaine Todd won the 
                              11.90 Index title and Sadie Wilks took home the 
                              trophy and ring in the 13-and-up age group.
 
 The series next moves to Indianapolis for a May 11 
                              event at Lucas Oil Raceway. Television coverage of 
                              the Rockingham event, made possible through 
                              sponsorship by Roy Hill’s Drag Racing School, will 
                              air on MAVTV Motorsports at a date to be
