ROCKINGHAM, NC - Chris Rose and Eric Pendergrass won the winner’s trophy at Rockingham Dragway on Sunday at the Phantasm Motorsports Street Wars event.

Rose, Apex, won the Insane Performance Real Street class in his 1995 Camaro over Justen West of Dunn in the final round.  Rose ran 8.005 seconds off of the 7.99 index to West’s 1969 Camaro time of 8.002. Rose had a better reaction time of .028 to the .058 of West. 

Rose put out number one qualifier and points leader Dale Sanders of Eagle Springs in the semi-final round.

Pendergrass of Bear Creek won the Quick 8 category driving a 1986 Mustang when he easily defeated 1994 Honda Civic of James Dean, Little River, S.C., with at time of 9.529, 140.52 mph to Dean’s 10.533, 133.57.
