with
one
of
the

unique
IHRA
Ironman
trophies
awarded
during
the
three-day
festival.
Plott
earned
$7,500
for
winning
Sunday’s
featured
Top
Eliminator
title
but
in
the
one-run
duel
for
the
Sunday
Ironman,
he
was
edged
by
Footbrake
winner
Roger
Rhodes
of
Pikeville,
whose
.019
package
proved
too
much
to
overcome.

winners were David
Spaugh of Advance
and Roger Hunt of
Shannon who, in
addition to $5,000
winners’ shares of
the holiday purse,
took home Ironman
trophies of their
own. The fourth
Ironman, the same
trophy awarded to
the pros in the IHRA
Nitro Jam Series,
went to Robert
Vogler of
Lewisville, who won
a runoff between the
weekend’s Jr.
Dragster winners and
runners-up.
Vogler beat Jacob
Baker of Yorkville,
Va., in a virtual
re-run of the Sunday
Jr. Dragster final
to get his coveted
trophy. Vogler won
the Jr. Dragster
title on Sunday,
Baker on Saturday
and Concord’s Noah
Strickland on
Monday.
In addition to
Rhodes, the other
$1,000 Footbrake
winners were Michael
Beard of Seagrove
and Steve Alford of
Angier.
The Memorial Weekend
