                              | ROCKINGHAM, N.C. – (Nov. 10, 2019) Maxton’s Holden
Dial, a graduate of Rockingham Dragway’s Jr.
Dragster program, benefited from a final round
foul start from Randy Carmichael Sunday and won
the second half of the track’s annual Twin Fives
                              bracket racing championship.

Dial and his sister Brittany, who also graduated
from the Jr. Dragster ranks, just missed an
opportunity to oppose one another in the final
when Carmichael used a .017 of a second package to
beat her good-but-not-good enough .025 in the
                              round of five.

Attorney Dave Spencer was the Friday winner in an
all-Raleigh final round in which he stopped
Rockingham regular Richard Alford Jr. when the
latter was .007 too quick at the start, fouling
                              out.

This week, Carmichael will exchange his driving
helmet for a torque wrench when he returns to crew
member duties with nitro Funny Car owner “Big Jim”
Dunn and driver Jim Campbell at the season-ending
                              NHRA Finals at Pomona, Calif.
